Validis joins FDATA trade body to support the Open Finance ecosystem

Validis, a leader in Open Finance technology, announces its membership with the Financial Data and Technology Association (FDATA) Europe.

Validis connects global banks, fintechs and accounting firms via a single API to access on-demand business information, data and analytics. Joining the FDATA member community will open up further collaboration with the growing Open Finance ecosystem and provide a platform for shared intelligence and market insight.

Paul Thomas, CEO at Validis says, “We’re thrilled to be part of FDATA’s growing community, to work alongside key stakeholders that are driving policy, change and innovation in the Open Finance space. Having a seat at an industry negotiation table is a key step for us as a growing fintech. Our technology is now being used by over 80 clients globally, all of whom are focused on enhancing their products and services to empower the small business community they serve. FDATA is a leading advocate of the growing sector and I’m excited about the opportunities to collaborate.”

Richard Prior, CEO of FDATA Global says, “FDATA is delighted to welcome Validis to the global community of members, and to add their distinct voice to the increasingly diverse representation of business models delivering innovative services and products to SMEs and consumers. The provision of secure, on-demand access to SMB financial information facilitates a degree of connectivity that is a hallmark of the best of expectations around the empowering nature of Open Banking and Open Finance. As these forces permeate and define the future of financial services, the collaborative dialogue and policy campaigns led by FDATA in multiple markets seek to enable the best outcomes to be delivered by the membership to the customer. FDATA looks forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with Validis in this journey.”
