GHJ have partnered with Validis for over 8 years. The goal was to extract information directly from the clients’ general ledger system, without manual intervention or requests to clients.
Impact
The immediate impact has been ‘huge for both the auditor and the client’.
Looking forward, with tools like Validis, they can have a continuous audit process, accessing uploaded data on a periodic basis. They do that for some of their clients, using it to perform testing and walk-throughs during the year. This helps prevent capacity crunches in busy season.
