Account Manager

As Validis’ Growth & Retention specialist, you will be responsible for the growth, development and expansion of Validis’ client portfolio in EMEA.

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and strategic individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, who is passionate about technology and making an impact across the accounting industry.

Your role is to build relationships with our existing clients, which includes some of the biggest Accounting & Financial Services firms in the world, ensuring they are achieving their optimum return on investment. You will be required to liaise between the client and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions.

Your responsibilities include, strategically mapping out how we drive adoption of our software, identifying growth opportunities and actionable points on delivering MRR.

You will be rewarded for renewals and expansion across our exciting portfolio of clients.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of best practices and procedures. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


  • Secure client renewals and drive additional unit sales post year 1 of client contracts
  • Effectively and proactively engage clients in discussions on product adoption and alignment with clients strategic initiatives
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Develop customer loyalty & retention strategies for each account
  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with clients
  • Help clients through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in person meetings
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Enhance department and organisation’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service; monitor and analyse customer’s usage of our product
  • Responsible for working with the Sales/client delivery teams to onboard and integrate new clients and developing existing client relationships


  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of cloud software (SaaS)
  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
  • Excellent time and project management skills – you’re always looking to improve inefficient processes
  • Basic API knowledge
  • Accounting and/or financial services experience would be beneficial but not mandatory

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in customer-facing roles in data technology/analytics domain
  • An understand of accounting principles and financial services, specifically across the lending lifecycle
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
